Prussian Officers Line Regiment Pickelhaube Help

    Hello Everyone,

Let me start by saying, I have be collecting medals and badges for a number of years now, and really don't have a lot of knowledge about Pickelhaubes, really all I am after is one authentic, original officers version as a one of for my ever growing imperial bits and pieces.

So with that said, could you guys recommend a place or a dealer that has a good selection and is known to the community, also some thoughts on the attached pics and any suggestions in general would be greatly appreciated.

    Many Thanks

Looks like a nice original pickelhaube to me.

Nice helmet! I believe it is missing part of the lining though. There should be a cloth piece above the sweatband that usually hides the top of the helmet on the inside with a slit through the middle to gain access to the parts underneath. Otherwise, very nice! Mike.

P.S. - DerRittmeister has some nice officer helmets. Pricey but nice.

Another question to the knowledgable, should it have a backing plate on the inside for the spike as well?
                  The exterior looks super.

I believe that is also correct. Mike.

Be very careful about this one. Spike and other parts have been removed. The replacements are not what you want. There are other problems. Try age of Kings and pickelhaubes.com

                          Alan,
