    Bavarian Pickelhaube

Could I get other opinions on this pickelhaube from more experienced pickelhaube collectors? Everything looks correct to me from the photo's but should the officers star studs be tabs, bolts or either?

Looks very nice! The split brads are fine for the stars and plate on a wartime helmet...

I don't know much about Imperial, but I have to admit that it is certainly a very attractive helmet.

Would tabs be correct for the frontplate as well?
Rather than wartime this looks to be a 1910 era haube, is this incorrect?

Looks 1914 or later to me-- it has to do with the vine leaves between the legs -- you might want to ask on pickelhaube.com

Would be interesting to see the rest of the insides to see if this was converted from a one-year volunteer.

Thanks for the info Joe, I read there often. I'll post it if I complete the deal.
What would give it away as a one-year volunteer if I might ask? There's no extra front plate holes I'm told.
