..and the other guy . This seems to be "Jul.=Julian " ,since he has an "O" over his head , who wrote the card . Note , that he has removed his collar tabs with the "car"-symbol and he seems to have cover slip-ons over his shoulder boards . But he is wearing his haevy "butcher-knife" bajonet with his unit's "Troddel" on it .

Here now the written side of the postcard , dated 11-6-17 . German Text : Jul. =Julian is asking his friend Karl to send him a rationstamp booklet for bread , since he is in bad shape , --and he can not ask his own family to send same ! From this , I assume that the food conditions at the frontlines had to be bad from the middle of 1917 on !. I hope Vic Diehl will like this Postcard for his Kraftfahrer Files ! Posted by Bernd .

              DougO,
Thanks for posting this card. It is now in our file and much appreciated.
To date we have had over 18,000 visitors to our Auto/Aero site. Hard to believe so many people visiting an obscure site about an obscure topic.
But it is new information and also FREE.
              Thanks again.
              Vic

                Hello Bernd,

I may have shown these to you before, but here are two different patterns of the Kraftfahrer enlisted man's leather Schulterklappen for the driving coats.
