                      It looks as if they actually used the same photo in post one and post two. They just airbrushed it....as the lighting and angle are the same on the helmet in both pictures.

                        Herr Arbuckle looks real scary in that get up.
                        The misplaced ribbon/s suggest the photo isn't from a German source. Maybe a close viewing of the extras in the 1930 American version of "All Quiet on the Western Front" would turn up this guy.
