Fellow Headgear Guy's:

I would like you to see and comment on my Cavalry Lobster Tail.. Only problem is I do not see any maker mark or stamp inside.. I have owned this piece for 15 years.. I know it is Prussian and that is all.. Can anyone comment further..

Any ideas of value??

Well, its a lovely original example in great condition. Chinstrap and tape aside, I think one in this shape would be in the $1200-$1500 dollar range...

Arran; Rich nailed her down pretty good. That would be a fair price maybe alittle more. Can you show us pictures of the cocades removed? Great find I like your helmet very much!!!!!!!!!! Jerry

Nice helmet! I think that some of the manufacturer marks were stamped on to small metal strips that were held in place by the spike base screws. It might be possible that yours was lost when the base was removed by a previous owner.
