Nice Jacket. Is this a dress jacket or a daily wear type jacket? Enlisted Navy dress has always confused me.

                          CCJ,

                          Don't know.

My main field is TR, so perhaps one of the more knowlegeble in Imperial will help us out.

                          Best regards,
                          RonR

                            RonR,

The name of this jacket in German is Paradejacke or commonly known as an Affenjacke. As you can tell from the name, it was part of the various forms of the Paradeanzug. Daily wear, as you call it, would be work clothes, which would include, work "suits" made from twill "Drillich" material, cotton jumpers and drop-flap trousers. There were also collarless, short sleeved cotton triko shirts and some other things that I am sure I have missed.
