Anyone else have some Austrian headgear to show?

I don't have a place to store my pics, otherwise I would post some. I would be happy to send pics to anyone who wants some. Write me at bcalkins@thephxzoo.com

      Hallo collectors!!
My little opinion is it what the helmet of Peiper are a good helmet in every part!
I never see the helm from the real and i don't know Peiper from person but from the photo i think what the Berni are good!
Color is it near the green for the flash i think the helm not look repaint in post war colors (normal light green are fron checz Army) because the the post war colors give at the surface a different look. So in some zones we can look the blue burnishing of cromo stell plate.
The rusty zones are tipycall of a origina first paint, isn't paint over the rusty zones etc..
Liner is it deformed because the model with felt ring in reality have into the felt a leather band, with the time and the weather condition this can be suffer.
If this will' be reused in the post war years i have my doubts what was used the same original liner because this are quite fragile for the normal use in a Army, in fact lot of re-used austrian helmets (m.17- m.17 hungarian or Berni) usually have new good pieces for liner, (leather pads and chinstraps)!!
      All the best!!!!
