    Imperial Dress bayonet?

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for this question but here goes. Can anyone tell me please what type of bayonet would have been carried as part of the walking out dress of an Imperial German Jager between say 1895-1914,and would I be correct in saying that the side arm knot would have been rifle green including the strap? Any answers will be gratefully recieved,Cheers,

    Paul,

In all likelihood, your J******228;ger would have been carrying a S98aA bayonet during this period. For walking out dress, a custom purchased example would have been appropriate, if one could afford it. The Toddel would have been all green, including the strap (for enlisted men) and a green and silver combination for NCOs (Oberj******228;ger).
