    K98 pouches, pleae help

Hi guys, I******180;m not sure this is placed in the right thread? But I will give it a try, I recived this to me strange looking pouches. I think they are for the K98, am I right? They are stamped at the top with SA is that for the Finnish army....or?
They are also stamped on the back, one is stamped: INT/28 and the other is stamped 1928. Please help me with some info on this one, and also the value if somone know?

    Thank you for your time

    Regards Lassi

              Hi
I can't say if they are German WW1 k98 pouches as they no date or makers mark. What I can say, is that they are identical to the German WW1 k98 pouches.

After WW1 a lot of German military equitment were sold to Finland. These items are often marked SA (Suomi Army or something like that).
Its quite common to find these pouches.

My guess are, that these pouches you have, are post WW1 made as you normally would have to see makers mark and date on the one used by the German Army during WW1

About the value, I would say maximum 50 US$ a pair if they are post WW1 made

                    SA stands for "finnish army"
                    INT 28 says it******180;s been manufactured 1928.

Theese were for sure used during the war.

                    Cheers

                      Hello Lassi,

SA stands for finnish army as you correctly assumed and other members with good knowledge told you.

Nevertheless, these are finnish made pouches for 7,62mm Mosin-Nagant M91-rifle and for it's finnish versions. These pouches are slightly bigger in size than it's german "cousin". IMO these are little bit rarer than WW1 german pouches with SA-stamp's.

Anyway, an good pair of Pouches
