    Photos of bayonet

    Hi,
(Couldn't figure out how to attach photos on previous post, so I'm starting over).

I wonder if anyone could help me. I just purchased a WWI German Bierfeld bayonet. At least that's what I was told. The handle and hilt looks identical to the Mauser butcher blade bayonet I have. The blade of course is much smaller (9.5" long). It is indeed stamped Bierfeld on the blade, but no date or other stampings except on the hilt where 99 is stamped. Do you happen to know anything about this bayonet or manufacture? Or can point me in the right direction. I can't seem to find anything on the internet about it.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Dennis

P.S. How do you attach more than one photo?

Sorry, guys. Obviously this didn't work either. I became an associate member so I can attach photos, but for some reason it's not working. I couldn't find any instructions on the site. Any suggestions as to where to go?

    Thanks, Dennis

You need to set up a photo hosting site. You can register at photobucket .com for free. There are others as well, but that is the one I use. Set up your account, then upload you photos to the site and afterward copy the URL listed with the photo. Highlight it, click on edit and then copy. then when you post , you click the little picture with the mountain above and paste the URL in the window that pops up. Any more questions and you can send me a PM, I will try to help.
