        Sir,
I accept your challenge. I will remove it from it's place of storage and meet you here tomorrow night. Since I am the one being challenged I choose digital cameras at 250dpi at 25 paces. I will bring my second and my third if neccesary (Bavarian feldgrau uniforms that is) . I may even strike you down with a montage of feldgrau uniforms, which heretofore has been your secret weapon.

Uh-oh. Three Bayern tunics? I may have opened Pandora's box and am about to get my butt kicked. I sold most of my Feldgrau when my interests changed to the Franco-Preußen war. I only have six left.

            Monsieur Tony,
Since per your website your tunic is FIELD Artillery, I will show you a real Bayern Foot Artillery uniform. In 1914 Bavaria only had 3 Foot Artillery regiments, so I believe these are rare. Rarer still with an aviation association. The black piping is of course velvet as is correct for an officer. Unfortunately there is no tailors label or name. Voila !

I saved the best for last, The Bavarian Pilots Badge that belonged to the owner of the uniform. THE classic Karl Pollath. Obverse,

Here is the reverse. There are two openings for the gas to escape when being made. Above the hinge and below the catch. When you see silver turning several colors like this, it is not artificial patina.

                              So Monsieur Tony,
You have fired with field artillery , but missed, and I have returned that fire with heavier foot artillery and hit the mark. So will you walk away and bind your wound or shall I bring out another big gun. Right about now you are going . I have a bakers dozen of feldgrau, but you have a lot more dunkelblau. Since I am a gentleman I will admit that I respect you and could never truly beat you in a one on one competition, uniform to uniform that is. But my 130lb. German Shepherd beats a weiner dog every time.
