Headgear and uniform ID

The headgear in this 1905 photo are unknown to me. Are they a colonial headgear? Thanks in advance for any clues.

Hard to tell for certain in the photo, but, yes Saxon. Either Schutzen Regt, nr.108, or Jager Battn. nr.12 or 13.
All three units had dark green tunics with black facings, and wore the same style shako. The Saxon shade of green was very dark, much more than the Prussian shade.
