Reproduction Great War Uniform-Who makes the nicest.

    Hello,

I am wanting to know who makes the best in Reproduction Uniforms. Just getting started and I realize this hobby is not inexpensive, and that is ok as long as I get what I am paying for. Any and all opinions would be appreciated. I did a search but it really did not give me the info I was looking for, so I am looking to you experienced members for a little guidance.

Thank you for any and all answers.

    Hello:

This depends to a degree on which belligerent you wish to portray. Joe Covais was the best source for Imperial German uniforms until his business closed (went blind, unfortunately).

Paul Schipper makes very nice reproduction WWI Belgian items. I have not seen his German or Commonwealth items in person, but if they live up to the Belgian stuff you will certainly be getting your money's worth.

Alan Crane is also getting some good press for his AEF items.

    Good luck!!

      Johan,
I have not examined Shipperfabrik uniforms , but I know that Great War Militaria makes a great product too. I have one pair of pants that I purchased in 1990 and they are still in great condition but with the normal repairs of long use, barbed wire etc. Several of my unit members have had uniforms from them for many years and are very satisfied about the quality.
