    help with chaplain tunics

Hello all! has anyone ever seen a tunic to a chaplain WWI/pre that they would consider original? I had a great photo form this forum once, but I misplaced it. Are there any references out there that go into Chaplain regualtions as to uniforms (English or German)?

Aslo does anyone have Kube's website address? They had a fantastic chaplain grouping about two auctions ago, does anyone have photos of it? It was a really odd group for service in Asia.

    Thanks agian!

    Chris,

Kraus's new book, "The German Army in the First World War.." has a section on field chaplains. There are six pages showing two Feldgrau long coats, two visiored caps (from the Bavarian Army Museum's and the Wehrgeschichtliches Museum Rastatt's collections) as well as five period photos.

Thanks a ton Chip! Do you have a good source for that book? I am trying to compile a list of instances where the M10 and the frock were worn for an article I am trying to write. I for 10X as many shots of chaplains in the frock as in any sort of field uniform.

        Chris,

It took me quite a while to find a copy of this book even though it is fairly new. For as little as you are interested in, I would not suggest you buying the book, which costs over $100.00. What specifically are you wanting to know?
