Help with a M16 Stahlhelm

I would love to hear your opinions of this helmet. Is it German made and in original condition? What would be a wise price to pay for it? The last question is a matter of opinion, perhaps it would be best if you sent a private message regarding what I should pay for it.

It seems all original to me including the cut strap (is it).
I have a few M16 but mine are camos.
Worth on the opeing American Market primarily ebay anywhere fro 300USD up to 500USD as it's hard to fond an untouched one, just a pity about the chinstrap as they alone can go to $300USD

Yes. It's an original WWI German M16 helmet. Size 66. Unfortunately, the M16 liner is badly damage, with a lot of leather loss and no cushions. olboy is right about the chinstrap, but someone (maybe even the Soldier) poked a small hole on each side of the split and tied it off with a small piece of string. WWI German steel combat helmets are hot right now so paying $300.00+ is not unrealistic.
