I do have a question about the tunic. The cuffs and piping indicate that this tunic is that of a foot artillery officer, though the boards are not. The boards, depending on the period, should either have white underlay or a yellow underlay. In your photos the underlay of the boards appears to be red. Am I seeing this correctly?

Hi Chip, You are correct. IMO officer served originally with foot artillery and then during war changed to field artillery (red underlay, boards used to have exploding FAR grenades on them but these were lost/removed). Item was sold with this addendum and priced accordingly. Cheers, Tom
