    Prussian Blue

Nice title Stephen. That with Calvary Yellow was quite the sight.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Oh sorry, you're just so much more popular than I am, I apologize. I just got my mailing.

        Thanks Guys,
I am pushing the printers to get proofs to me ASAP so I can review and get them turned-around. These projects usually go through a couple rounds of technical mumbo-jumbos and color balance contortions before even I get a peek. Brian, you should be proud. There is an entire spread dedicated to your soon to be famous relative. ( I mean we all know and love him but the world is about to discover one tough commander and PLM knight upclose and personal.) Stay-tuned....

You will let us know when it comes out, won't you Stephen? Late summer is awfully vague..

            Blitz,
If I only knew more. I suspect they will arrive to our offices late August, early September and will begin shipping the following two weeks. It is important that you carefully critique the book because feedback only makes it better. It is our very best project yet, something I am really proud of. Folks like Brian were a big help. You never want to let down those who are counting on you.

I've no doubt it will be a quality publication that I will be passing on to my son. Not to mention my mother will be thrilled.

I've just seen the rest of the v E grouping from your homepage Brian.

Sweet jesus, that is one unbeleivable assortment of enamel....not to mention a significant historical snapshot...

A treat for us all ....

Thank you Marshall, I have great pride in my grandfather.

He commanded two Armee Corps at the end of WWI. He is credited with stopping what was becoming a rout and uncontrolled retreat at the German border. The history books have been more concerned with the large battles and most don't give him credit for his commands in 1918. But the very generals who got a lot of press were relieved in his favor as they couldn't handle the obvious defeat. But put yourself in the situation of a late 1918 war that is going from bad to worse, soldiers are deserting by thousands and your 'famous' generals are weeping in their tents rather than commanding and leading. It's because of Guenther that the history books don't have a chapter devoted to the overrunning and destruction of the cities of Germany in WWI following a rout. He stood his ground on the front with his troops, held his binoculars, and gave orders and courage to his men.

I was lucky enough to meet many of them in the sixties. They treated my mother and I very kindly. They were respectful of him and thanked him for saving their lives.

I understand and have no doupts that it will be a book of the best quality. There isn't another member here who has such a proud legacy as Brian. And the fact that he is willing to help out and share, speaks a ton about him.

                        Good question Bob,
I hope Seba will indulge me for but a minute. Bob, you can simply email me, and for the rest of the folks you may visit the Winidore Press website at winidorepress.com for a further synopsis, some pdf downloads of sample spreads, and a printable order form on the book which you can fax or mail. And now back to the show.

Yes, I gave that to Glenn. This was from my grandfather's papers (the ORIGINAL page before it was published) and was the biography in the 'official' publication the name of which eludes me at the moment. I asked my mother to translate the piece, then sent it to Glenn who made some edits to it. His site is very visited, has good Google and Yahoo contact so I asked him if he wanted it along with a photo. I was thrilled he put it there.
