    BH Meyer pilot badge

Here is a pilot that landed on my doormat just after Boxing Day .
1930-40’s badge by Meyer of Pforzheim in 800 silver .
Seems like the guy wanted a breast star look to the reverse maybe to have his initials in the centre lozenge ? The quality of the reverse detail is stunning ,better than my photography !
    Enjoy .Ferg

Really nice, Ferg. The badge has obviously been taken care of extremely well. Glad its in the hands of someone who will do the same.

        Hi Ferg!
Nice haul...and worth to be displayed with the backside towards the viewer
It´s the first time I see THIS kind of reverse modification - usually the BH Mayers have a plain flat backside.
Btw: I´m still lacking a silver example
        Happy new year!

I believe there is an unattributed Silver Wound Badge with a similar reverse.

Actually Don, I think your right, I now remember owning a silver wound badge many years ago with the same reverse setup .

I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).
