I agree. The die flaw on the "800" pretty much supports that fact.
But it would still be nice to see the front of the cross.

Thanks for the additional pictures. It is a very nice cross that uses
the Godet / Meybauer core. But the truth is, we don't know who assembled
this cross. That is why we call it the unkown maker. If you do a forum search,
you will find several examples of this cross. All marked 800 and none with
a proper maker's mark.
