Photo of a Death's Head Hussar and more (Identification)

    Hi,

Below, you will find a photo showing a WW1 German mixed group of soldiers where we can see among others some Jäger and Hussar officers (including a Death's Head Hussar). Can you give me a better and more complete description of this group by identifying other soldiers or officers?

    Thanks in advance.

You could add there are some infantry scattered among them. Apparently wearing a moustache was not required in a certain type of unit.

Now, the question is are these Brunswickers or Prussians? Very cool photo.

Yes. We can add to the two Hussar officers some Infantrymen: the Jägers wearing the Tschako and the EM/NCO wearing the Pickelhaube whit the Prussian plate.
Probably, the two officers between the two Hussars are also from the Infantry and all the soldiers wearing the Krätzchen; the NCO located on the far right wearing the Pickelhaube and the EM/NCO next to him with the Pickelhaube; the officer wearing the Schirmmütze located behind the 4 other officers; and the NCO with the Schirmmütze located on the far left.

Yes. It's a very nice photo.

To answer your question concerning the origin of the units to which these soldiers belong to, we can be sure that the Death's Head Hussar officer and the soldier with the Pickelhaube located on the far left are from Prussia.
