Interesting collar tab conversion! I have no idea about authenticity as this would have been a hand-made veteran piece. One way to feel good about it would be to check that there are no modern/synthetic materials involved in the construction. The medals are blurry but I don't see any red flags on that front.

I would actually like such piece in collection, provided it's a period made. Beside checking materials as Mike suggested, it looks authentic from these (not best) pics. It's so weird and unusual construction that I doubt many fakers would make such a thing. They usually go for ordinary, textbook bars.
