    1914 EK1 - mm 'W'

    Is the EK1 with a 'W' maker mark on the pin a known cross? I have looked in the database on the reference page and can't see this mm?

    Please let me know.

    I have a W 900 marked example but that marking is on the backplate below the catch.

        Don,

        I saw it on the Wharton militaria site - not sure if I can copy the image.

          I found the site and the pics. After looking through a few offerings, all I can say is CAVEAT EMPTOR (maybe I should put that in larger font as well?).

          Here's the cross in question for the discussion;

            Here's a different cross from the same site, sharing the same core;

              And something currently on eBay marked L/13 that also appears to share the same core, although the details are not as sharp (possibly due to thicker paint?);
