Not one that I own, just a random medal bar that I came across on eBay. Posted for the benefit of that one person who might be scratching their head trying to identify this ribbon on a ribbon bar somewhere...

Wouldn't that be for service on the Marinestation der Nordsee Helgoland? Unless it actually is marked SLS Helgoland?

i think so - because on the averse of the medal is also a kind of picture of helgoland (but definately inofficial)

According to the seller, it is marked "SMS Helgoland" on the reverse, but I haven't seen a photo of it for myself.

here is a photo of the reverse. I don`t know exactly what this inofficial medal was for - the ship SMS Helgoland, the isle Helgoland or just as a symbol for the german naval power (Helgoland is germanys one and only high sea isle) .... ???? But it is very rare, I have only seen it twice over the years...
