Hey guys...
Questions...
So, I cannot seem to determine the regiment that this bayonet belonged to.
Appears to be:
7. R. 12. 234
In addition...if I am reading the stamp correctly...this was made in 1901? I had the impression these were introduced in 1902. Can anyone confirm?
Handle has a "231" (possibly "234") written into the wood. This number is also inscribed into the scabbard (not shown). Not sure the significance of that.
Thoughts?
Thanks!
