First time I saw one !
It looks like an iron cross case but made for the Gallipoli star nice !

                  Kind regards Chay

                    Hi guys,
Thanks, it’s a favorite of mine. I have yet to see another cased example by this maker.

                    Regards,

                      Hi,
Think the case interior has been made to fit it bottom left corner of inlay is a bad forced fit.

Yes I noticed that untidy piece in the corner too, never seen a BB&Co in a box before ,seen some with the standard card envelope several times . I wonder if these started life together or just a ‘ marriage’ , we may never know. I know this maker was a better quality model than the zinc Turkish pieces but still a lower quality than the some of the silver ones that’s why I am surprised to see it in a box.

That's true, you see the odd Godet or other higher quality piece cased. Could be a converted case.

The reason the corner looks untidy is that the base keeps falling out. The edge of the cardboard has separated a bit.

I know it proves nothing on the box that started this thread but heres mine by a Turkish maker.
