    Need help with Bronze Statue ww1 german Pickelhaub

    Hi guys. What are you thinking. I like it but i am not an expert. Any help is appreciated!

    I would say more Franco Prussian war than ww1. Is it Bronze or spelter? If it were a genuine period piece I guess it would be quite expensive . Rob

        The fact that the spike, the dagger, the flag tassels, and the pole top are all still there and haven't broken off make it more desirable in my opinion. I rarely see these without something broken off, usually the spike.

          What are the dimensions? The socket bayonet makes it pre-1900 by a long shot. Markings on the bottom perhaps?

              Thank you guys. Its 60 cm high. I will inspect it soon. Definitely genuine IMO and worth some miles to drive. Will let you know!

                  The longer you look at the statue, the more details you find.

                  The man's beard and face, crown on the belt buckle, kneeling man's boots with hobnails. The kneeling man's "scrunched" up right shoulder board because his arm is slightly raised. The detail here is incredible
