    B14 ek2 question

We know that the B14 cross is copied off of the 1870 type B cross.
The 1870 typeB cross is usually associated with Godet but why is it
that most B14 crosses we see are marked S-W.

    any thoughts?

I would guess the legend begun from the Godet marked EK1's that had the B core.
I myself ID Godet 1870's from the frame, as not all Godet's had a B core and all B cored crosses aren't Godet.

I recall someone hinting that Godet would have purchased the equipment for the B cores at some point. Their productd reconed by the more porous casts of the core. But I can't support this with anything, as it's just a blurry memory that I have.
Someone on the forum might have the real answer to the last thing.
