    That's easy.

His name is in the bottom right corner: Conrad Schitter. He invented the flush toilet.

Seriously, looks like Count Ferdinand von Zepplin?

He looks way too thin to be Graf von Zepplin to me.

I believe the chain is the Wihelmsorden, the cross is actually hanging from the ribbon below the chain, there's a round medalion hanging from the chain.

The medal next to the Kaiser medal looks like the red cross medal.

That's one nifty frackbar. ROA w/schlief, he must have been some sort of whiz kid.

Aha...so thats the Wilhelmsorden....Well than I have two more questions

                      1. Unfortunately I only have a pretty picture (thanks to Glenn 2438) of Rittmeister von Verschuer (see my previous posts) and I am in doubt.

He is wearing a neckbadge, but I cannot see if the medaillon is that of the swedish Wasa-orden or the prussian Wilhelmsorden...how could I tell the difference? Would a neckbadge of either of these would always come with a breast star? What would the breast star look like? Now somehow, the prussian Wilhelmsorden would surprise me, because von Verschuer was the Hofmarschall of the exiled Elector of Hesse (occupied by the same prussians in 1866)..So if he was awarded this order, why should he wear it, as the prussians were the enemy so to say. Furthermore I think it could be the Wasa because he also wears the RK of the danish Dannebrog....But these are just guesses

                      2. What is the history of the prussian Wilhelmsorden? In what year was it founded?

Thanks a lot for your help....

I realized I didn't post the proper description of his medals...

                        Here we go:

                        On his neck:

Prussia: Wilhelms Order (it is the chain with the oval order decoration - no star)
                        Saxe-Coburg: House Order of Ernestine

On the medal bar (left to right):

                        German Reich: Centenial Medal
Prussia: Red Cross Medal (either 2nd or 3rd class)
                        German Reich: Non-Combatant medal 1870/71
Prussia: Crown Order 4th class with the Geneva Cross
                        Prussia: Crown Order 3rd class
Prussia: Red Eagle Order 3rd class with bow
