WWI Imperial German P08 Luger Holster

    Hello!

I recently purchased an all matching DWM 1918 P08 Luger.

With it came this holster. I was curious about the names and markings on this holster, and what they can tell me about the soldier it was issued to? I can post pictures of the pistol as well. Is it normal for a DWM made pistol to be in an Erfurt holster, such as this set I purchased?

The holster seems to have a 1918 date, I think that I see the “8”
and also the LZA stamp reinforces this assumption. Obviously carried many years after 1918 and picked up Reichswehr 1st Artillery stamp. Reworked prior to 1935/36 with cleaning rod strap and toe repair which I find interesting and rare to see.

The maker of the holster is "Carl Lottmann, Darmstadt". The L.Z.A. (Lederzuweisungsamt) stamp is that of the leather procurement board, in this case, of the (Jnspektion) center in Erfurt.
