1918 Gold and Silver cut-out Wound Badges for review

    Hi Guys,

I originally posted this in the Wound Badge forum, but am also posting here in the hope of more responses. I bought these three 1918 Wound Badges in the pre-Internet era. I am pretty confident the solid badge is good (this is magnetic) but am uncertain about the two cut-out badges - these are not magnetic. So I would be very grateful for all comments on these, particularly whether they might be good or bad.

    Many thanks,

    All the best, Guy

Don't forget, that cut-out types were not official, made for private purchase. So they are from different metals, like brass or zinc. Only some of them were magnetic (black mainly, but I had a gold one, too). Also the awarding period was relatively long (at least until 1936), so many, many manufacturing types exist.

All these badges look promising IMO, but I guess, that both cut-out pieces come rather from 1930s.

    regards
    Tomasz

Thanks Tomasz, you make a very good point. I guess I am a bit paranoid about the TR stuff I bought in the pre-Internet era, as then I really had nothing to go on. Thanks again for your comments. The cut-outs are nicely made so would I think fit a 1930s date quite well.

      Best regards, Guy
