800 stamped EK1 possible AWS?

Here is a nice factory vaulted screw back EK1. I'm thinking it may be A. Werner & Sohne but not sure. It is stamped 800.

Any thoughts?

Hi, to me a generic core 800 piece with lovely patina. Nothing tells me it is AWS related though

IMO a wellknown cross from an unknown maker! Core is a so called "Slanted W" core. Used by several makers.

I agree.
We have seen these before and have never been able to assign
a maker to them. They most always use the "slant W" core and
can be identified by the incursed 800 silver stamp that always
fades away on the right hand side.
