Indeed a good Schickle, but if the endgraving is not period, the cross is worth a lot less

The case is IMO period made but not a case made for an Iron Cross.

Yes, it looks like a good cross has been ruined by a bogus engraving.

Agree, bogus engraving. You see a lot of crosses that are pimped up with that style of engraving.
