    Playing with the camera

I was playing today with my camera, I hadn't a very updated photo of my 1870 A core with the A type "crows feet" frame.

As a contrast, my photos today didn't become as dark as usual. I added some colour to it as you can see. I think nature will serve more in the future as background in my photos, as it gives truly life to the colours in my opinion.

If you found an oak tree, then would be total perfection

I was thinking about that yesterday when I took the shot. Sadly in Finland Oaks are rare to find in the nature due to the quite harsh climate.

I took a stroll in the forest just outside the house, to search for something to use as photo background. The forest is a typical dominant Spruce (Picea abies) forest, dark and kills the light for other species to thrive. However uphill, a rocky cliff where the Spruce can't compete against the Pine tree, which can survive in less nutritious ground such as cliffs. They provide a lot more light on the ground and won't kill other tree's competing for the sunlight. I was quite surprised to find 4-5 "wild" young Oaks growing on that harsh cliff, so I got the Oakleaves I weren't even hoping to find, among other things.

                      Thanks for the comments guys

I'll upload more photos in my collection thread as I didn't just take photos of Imperial items.

This one represents more of the local nature up here.

I like the barbed wire in that last shot - another reminder of WWI

VERY NICE - although I must admit I prefer your old style photos. Nonetheless still excellent work.
