Iron Cross Values, 1st,2nd, cased, etc

Just a curious question about values today versus 10 years ago. I know there are many variations to value, but as a general rule what is the market today... WW1

This is just my observation from searching ebay everyday and from those few times
I search a small handful of dealer sites.

Prices on 2nd class Eks have become stupid. Prices on common Ek1s hit
a high point about a year ago and now seen to be dropping a bit.
Prices on the uncommon or hard to find Ek1s are still high also hit a high
point about a year ago but have remained high.

It would have to be said on a case-by-case basis. Some makers and models are rarer than others, and then you have factors like condition and so on. For an EKII you could be looking anywhere from $50-$200 depending on the former. For an EKI, on the higher end of that, upwards of $600 or more for something cased and well-preserved.

I saw an asking price from around 2000 € for an EK II 1939, straight nine.... it is so therefore not too bad with the EK II 1914 prizes
IMO the collector market for 1914 crosses is still growing in intersest and collecting! I personally think that it just keeps on rising.

The 1939 crosses are for the most part researched and described. This in contrast to the 1914 crosses, where there is still a lot to discover
