I've attached the picture as future reference.

Stepped core Prinzen fake is the name of it, if I'm not mistaken.

There are many of them, starting with infamous core (which is not stepped at all in this case, so the second name of the fake - Smalll crown fake - would be more suitable), continuing with beading and ending up with the hardware.

But first of all, from what I know, Juncker didnĀ“t make EK1 1914 Prinzens. These were produced before AWS Berlin left the business and sold their stuff to Juncker company. So there were AWS Prinzens and these are portrayed in their period catalog. Needless to say, they look completely different.

Not wanting to confront you Miro as your knowledge in Prinzen's is superior to mine, but isn't this evident stepping in your opinion Miro?

Of course you are right, I was not clear enough. I meant not so visibly stepped (mainly for the eye of a beginner) as this fake type is often seen.

I know, for you it is clear step, but sometimes we forget how hard is to spot something like that for untrained eye. I just wanted to point out that there are more blatant mistakes done on this fake.

Hi, thanks for the additional info, I must admit I didn't spot the stepping, (have now I've looked again) if I had I would have guessed it's not genuine, must examine closer in future

The maker mark is the same as that found on bogus flight badges.
