I went to the flea market recently
bought this little clasp.
What do you think of the battleclip?

I've owned two bars with this battle clasp. Here they are for comparison.

Colonial bars are tricky, but that one looks OK. The strike is very crisp with nicely made deep letters. As with many things, the back tells more than the front, and the back of that one is (perhaps conveniently) hidden. The stitching looks period done to me, but not that hard to do. The bar by itself isn't worth more than $100, so if you got it a reasonable price, you're OK.
