    Ek2 1914

This showed up with a group of medals. I have not spent much time with imperial awards as my focus is ww2 but I thought I should post this as it looks quite nice.

Good looking, original cross. Being 800 silver stamped is an added bonus.
The hanger and chain make me think that I pocket watch may have once
      be attached to it.

Thanks Greg I was trying to figure out what the chain was. Makes sense that it could be for a pocket watch. So the 800 is a silver mark not a maker mark?

The "800" mark shows the silver content in parts per 1000 or 80%.
"Sterling" silver is 925 / 1000. Common German silver stamps are 800 and 935.
