    Baden Bravery Medal Bar

    Hello,

I would like to share one new bar (2019 addition), it is the medal bar of Uffz. Carl Reissfelder who earned the Baden Bravery Medal (Silberne Militär Carl-Friedrich Verdienstmedaille) in May 1918 for his bravery in the Field near Kemmel (Flanders).

There are only 1.282 of these Baden bravery Medals awarded for Heroic acts during WWI. As such a real rarity.

Uffz. Carl Reissfelder belonged to the 11./R.I.R. 238 and survived WW1. He passed away in 1966.

    Cordial greetings,

Always a beautiful medal and especially nice as these are recipient marked - any more details about the recipient and his actions?

He went out into a bombardment and repaired cut telephone lines to restore contact with the field artillery just in time to beat back a British attack.
