Hollow Stamped Bavarian Pilot Badge by Carl Poellath?

    Hello All,

I cannot find any examples in the books or on WAF similar to this hollow stamped version. I believe the pin is stamped "935". The hinge and pin look similar to some Poellath examples and the case looks like the "pre-1919" version (though the lines are spaced farther apart then what I have seen in the Baldes book.)

    All opinions are appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Eric

Classic ‘spokeless’ wheel copy . These badges are generally regarded as non original . They are what one usually sees for sale and should be avoided. The case looks kinda new-ish too.sorry

I don‘t like whether the badge nor the case - definitely both made for decieving the unaware...
Good opportunity to save money for a good original, if it ever comes your way.

              Thank you Hagrid and Ferg!

I always enjoy saving money and keeping it out of the hands of the deceivers.

The seller lists themselves as antikmarktmuensterland on eBay as a warning to others...

              Regards,

              Eric

Agree, not period Poellath pieces, and the seller should be avoided.

Is this pilot badge real or copy?

We are talking about Poellath here...
The "weak" wheel is one of the givaways of these fakes, another one is the tie....
