Hi Robert,

Very nice finds, congratulations!

The buttons all look to be German. Nice to see most of them in field gray and not all of them in brass as I usually see on these belts. There are examples from Hessia, Wurttemburg, Bavaria, Saxony, and one I can't quite see well enough to recall which state it is from.

Yes, the leather belt does look like it may be from a rifle sling as you mentioned.
