Hey group i found a Eierhandgranate 17 last week while metal detecting in a old WW1 fort in Bulgaria. The grenade is in pristine condition but theres only one problem. It had a zinc fuse installed which broke off at the head so nothing sticks out of the body of the grenade. Any ideas on how to dissolve the zinc without damaging the grenade body. I dont want to use heat because the grenade might still be live. I found 2 other grenades in the same place but they didnt have a fuse installed. No battles were fought there so they were probably lost during training

Do not try to disasemble but bring them to the demineur de-mining or other autorities.
