Opinions wanted on Imperial U Boat Badge

I would be grateful for opinions on this U Boat Badge. I cannot seem to locate many of them on this forum, but a similar one by Walter Schott seems to have been somewhat suspect. Not having any expertise in this area I thought it advisable to post it. I include some pics.

Again, not one that I would want. The back is not correct. Do a search for "SCHOTT" and you should find several threads on these.

My pleasure. Use the link I provided. If you are looking for a genuine Schott badge there are plenty out there for sale. If you want a genuine uboot badge by another maker that is possible as well. Just send me a pm.

Those 4 pages go all the way back to 2002. I'm sure other search terms will bring up even more.

I did get a number of search results for Schott from your link Don, thanks for that. Interesting to note the missing part of the letter “T.” It seems that most Schott badges exhibit this missing bit. I am a bit confused as to whether all genuine Schott badges have this, or whether just the majority. I think probably the latter, since some -people state that they have seen Schott badges with two complete T’s.
