          I think I finally got a real one here. Picked it up from a trusted forum member Shown as currently displayed - mounted on an A-core 1870 ek2 w/oaks and flanked by a couple 1813's & 1914's. It's the slip on kind with the plain wrap-around back, rather than prongs. Hope you like it as much as I do!

                  Super nice Eric, congrats.

                  The maker of that WHS remains unknown.

                  It is featured in Friedhelm Heyde's famous book on the Iron Cross collection of Max Aurich and (if I recall correctly) also in Wernitz's book.
