to my knowledge these where given with the decoration to the recipient.
in this case it have to be a comander or a grandcross (not a "boring" knight)

especially the - blindprägesiegel - in the upper left is great!

Looks like someone is a little too smart for his own good.. But yes. Gerd is right as is Christian. It is a Statute and it contains the rules and decrees conserning the Zähringer Löwen orden. I've translated most of it so far, but since you all read fluent german. And if you don't, here is another reason to learn.. I'll just share it's contents. This is a item that literally takes my collecting to a whole new level. Right now.. ..I'm a very happy guy!

It is amazing how FEW of these seem to have survived when virtually every Order awarded came with this sort of Statute. Nice find!

yes, but not one made in this quality (look at the satutes of the saxonian fam medal - these are the most "common" statutes - but they are made in this "mass awarding" way)

Thats true, even saying the phrase "mass production" near anything remotely connected to the OZL can be considered herecy..
