    Istanbul WW1 find

Just got back from a business trip through various countries, including Turkey. Someone there got me these (a present!) and I would like to have your opinions and an idea of the value. This is not really my collection field so I may end up selling them if I need the cash. There are 4 medal bars:

Bar 1 is a simple EK2 and Hindenburg. The EK ring is marked with a small square (?) and the other medal is marked T.H.W. The EK core is non magnetic!

Bar 2 has an EK2, an Hindenburg and a 1st October medal. EK is magnetic but I cannot get to the ring to check for marking. Hindenburg is marked KM&F.

Bar 2 again. The pin on the back is very thin indeed!

Bar 3 has an EK2 marked "KO", a Romanian medal (but that is not the correct ribbon, is it??) and an Hindenburg without swords marked R.V.25 Pforzheim.

Bar 4 has an EK2 hanging on a strange ring (the small ring attached to the cross has been repaired...and the EK seems to hang too low), a Bavarian Military Merit cross and a Hindenburg (marked L.NBG.). The Ek is magnetic.

I look forward to your comments.

nice bars - but the romanian medal is wrong - there should be the baden merit medal of ww1

Thanks Christian. Do you have a reference photo of this medal?

here is one (a spangenstück - the issued ones have a long wire attachment for the ribbon):

where did you turn these up, at the covered market?

                              Hi Chris,
No idea where they came from. I have been asking my local contact to find me Gallipoli Stars but these are what he came up with!
