    Cased Imperial U-Boat Group

    Hi,

This is by far one of the best medal sets I have ever owned.

And all placed within the specially fitted case.

Unfortunately, I did have to sell it some time back when times were hard after 2008.
It is now in the possession of a well known Russian collector.

This is one of those things I really wish I'd never sold on as I think it was flawless.

    I hope you all enjoy.

    Thanks

      Both EK1 & EK2 were 800 silver framed examples.

Only shot the more impressive EK1 for detail.

The last shot showing the fitted case closed. Everything within was worn, but very mint. Even the case had very light wear marks overall.

      A fabulous small grouping.

Like I say, this is the one set I really wished I had kept. It was only sold due to financial problems I was having after the 2008 bank fiasco, which was only caused by the bankers themselves. The thieves.

      Anyway, enjoy & thanks.

I have serious doubts about the sub badge and the case. The badge does not look like a Schott made badge and the mark is wrong.
We see cases like this all the time with a cord masking the insert edging.

agree. There is a veritable cottage industry with old jewelry and cutlery cases being turned into award presentation cases. They turn up on eBay all the time. While not an expert, I know enough about Schott badges to agree with Don about it being very suspect.
            You're lucky you unloaded it.

              Blimey, I give up.

I asked so much advice on other TR forums around 2009 before selling this, I sold it around 2010. If I had known I could have given it back to the guy I brought it off, got a refund & not sold it on to the Russian buyer. As soon as he brought it, it went out of the UK to Russia with him.

This is not good at all.

I'm sticking to Edged Weapons from now on. Those I know, well, 95% of the time at least.

              Thanks for the advice chaps.
