    We Have a Winner!

At last, at last! I have found one of the few pieces I have never owned cased and/or boxed! This Lubeck Hanseatic Cross is in the original issue box, with fitted tray, ribbon bar and lapel bow! Now, only one to go!

    Rick,

I remember to have seen it on Zeige's catalague. My compliments, it's really a fine almost untouched example. Did you already receive the result of this auction? I placed also a couple of bids. To tell you the truth, I hope not to have won everything because it could be precey for me.

    Ciao,

    Claudio

      RE: Ziege

Hi Claudio, they emailed me with results and then I checked them against my bids. Only piece I won, but I paid well for the priviledge!

        Hello Rick.
        Lucky, lucky you.
I have likewise searched high and low without result for something like this. Have a "de Luxe" for Bremen and the simple Hamburg large one. If you decide to part from it.... but that seems most unlikely.

          The Bremen

Hallo Bernhard, Can you please post photos of your delux Bremen? I had a private-made cased one I just parted with because it was not the issue box. From what I can glean, the Bremen came in a plain, 2-piece maroon box, but no idea if the lid was cyphered and/or labeled in any way. Thanks, Rick

            Hello Rick.
I believe this case (Bremen) to be a privately made one. It is of a much vaulted rectangular shape in the Hanseatic red colour with the Bremen city crest in silver - like color on the top /lid thus representing the Hanseatic colour scheme of red-white. I would not have a clue how to post a picture nor how the case would take on a scanner.
I will check if I kept a picture/scan whem Detlev Niemann offered it some time back when. I have never yet seen any case other than this one offered but also still looking to see any other kind.

              Hmmmm.

Me thinks that might be right Bernhard. It sure sounds interesting. I'm waiting to see if this Lubeck one is cyphered. If it is, we might have a real trend here. That would make all 3 crosses with seal of the city symbol on the lid. Will post more photos when it arrives from Germany.
