Yes, it is a fake. If you do a forum search for ( 9th bead fake ) you will see
several examples like yours. It can be recognized by the beading in the crown
and by the the style of font in the date.

Wow, I sold this around 2013.

I know exactly who sold it to me as original, a well known UK dealer.

To be fair though, I brought a whole collection of 10 Imperial Iron Crosses, & they came via a well known British collector. All the rest were EK1 1st Class & mostly cased, this was the only EK2 2nd Class amongst them.

I truly believe it was sold in good faith & as part of a group of Imperial EK's.

I don't mind showing some of the others in the Imperial Forum as I have shown some already. They were given good appraisal on WAF in the past.
