Period of production is post WW-I.
Original? If so it would probably be a 1920s piece.
I find porcelain items very hard to authenticate. My feeling is that many of the Allach Jultellers are not originals, with regimental tellers of Meissen this could also be an issue. I prefer the pre-WWI Meissen light blue pieces myself which IMO are more than likely original as opposed to these dark blue more blocky ones which give the appearance of having been 'printed' (for lack of a better word) in stead of hand painted which IMO should be the case. I would also expect that it would read KAISERL. (Kaiserliches) instead of KAISER L.II. (which reads as Kaiser 52). However this might have been a feature found on an original but that would still be quite odd and as I do not have an original to compare I am a bit sceptical of this 'typo'.

Thanks it is from an old collection and was cheap. I am confident it is a post WW1 (1920’ - 30’s etc) commemoration piece, just have not seen another to this particular unit.

All these plates are by their 'nature' commemorative pieces.

Just found this on web re maker marks over time:

Meissen blue crossed swords mark 1924-1934 — blue crossed swords mark with dot between top of blades.

That is a cool plate as IR 181 was constituted from JB 15 (which existed from 1887-1900) and which this plates shows celebrating the 25th anniversary of IR 181 (including the 13 years of existence of JB 15).

Absolutely correct and one of my favourite plates.

I am also a regimental stein collector, just love Imperial porcelain.

Yes I too am partial to Imperial porcelain especially anything to do with the Saxon units.

At least the "L." prevents this from being "52" but the space between the "KAISER" and "L." does seem strange and is incorrect for "kaiserliches".
