    1813 EK1 Challenge

Is it possible to determine the authenticity of an 1813 EK1 from the front only? I am unable to acquire pics of the back. This example looks similar to the ones on the top of pages 45 and 50 of Previtera's 2nd edition of The Iron Time. Although the beading looks poorly done and suspect to me. I assume it's fake but I am interested to hear the thoughts of others regarding this piece.

Just my opinion but I would not buy this cross based solely on the pictures
provided. As you mentioned, the beading looks suspect andi don't like the
    fish of the core.

It might be OK but I would want much better pictures of both sides before spending
    any money.

You're right that this one is a fake. It's the same type and generation as the "stepped core fake" EK2, but the EK1 version.
      Best regards,
